Sharp Leads Kansas City to 4-2 Win
Kansas City Royals starter Al Sharp turned in a top-notch performance against the Portland Timberjacks at Kauffman Stadium. The result was a win for the Royals, 4-2. The save went to Scotty Hale, his 17th this season. Kansas City raised its record to 31-30 with the win.

In his 110-pitch effort, Sharp allowed 1 run on 2 hits over 8.2 innings. He walked 2 and struck out 7.
