Mariners Get One-Run Win at Baltimore
|
The Seattle Mariners picked up a win at Oriole Park at Camden Yards, knocking off the Baltimore Orioles, 3-2. Starting pitcher Doug Conner played a key role in the triumph. Conner picked up the win for Seattle, going 6 innings. He gave up no runs on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 7-3. Seattle has now won 3 straight, while the Orioles have lost 3 in a row.
Dax Cantrell, the former first round draft pick , had a direct impact on the outcome. Cantrell contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the sixth inning to put Seattle up, 1-0.
"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Seattle manager Lou "Diamond" Horne.
