Watkins Helps Rays Beat Twins, 5-1
A 4-RBI performance from third baseman Willie Watkins, who is tied for 8th in the AL in home runs with 23, led the Tampa Bay Rays to a win over the Minnesota Twins, 5-1. Sammy Donnelly got the save, the 4th for him this season. With the win, Tampa Bay has a record of 61-53. Minnesota falls to 41-73.

Tampa Bay took a 5-1 lead on Watkins's 23rd home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which he hit off Artie Beach in the top of the sixth, propelled Tampa Bay to the win.
