The New York Mets picked up a win at Citi Field, knocking off the Atlanta Braves, 9-3. Starting pitcher John-Michael Norman played a key role in the triumph. Norman, the winner, moves to 3-0. He threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 8 and giving up no walks. The Braves fall to 13-16 and continue their uneven start to the 2068 season.

The Mets got a big hit from designated hitter Freddy Sandoval. In the bottom of the sixth, Sandoval pounded a bases-clearing double to right. His 7th double of the season put the Mets ahead, 8-0.

Sandoval told a New York News reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
