Outlaws Deal Cubs 4-2 Defeat
|
Nashville Outlaws starter Jeremiah Brown was in fine form against the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field, leading his team to a win, 4-2. Brown, now 2-1, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 5, walking 0, and allowing 1 run. The save was Wes Galloway's, his 1st.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Vincent Jackson, Jr.? The Nashville center fielder had a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Outlaws on top, 2-1. For the game, Jackson, Jr. had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
Brown called the win the result of "everyone working in tandem."
Nashville, now 12-18, is off to a slow start.
