Diamondbacks Lose at Home, 10-6, to Nashville
|
Behind a solid performance from designated hitter Artie Jackson, the Nashville Outlaws defeated the Arizona Diamondbacks, 10-6. Jackson was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for the Outlaws. The win belongs to Pat Harrison in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Virgil Truck took the loss for Arizona. Nashville now sits in last place in the National League Southern Division at 15-20.
Nashville used the bat of Vincent Jackson, Jr. to capture the win. The center fielder jacked a grand slam home run in the top of the third inning to put the Outlaws ahead, 6-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a dandy.
"It was sure nice to get the win but there's a lot of baseball left," Jackson after the game.
