The San Francisco Giants eked out a 3-2 win versus the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field. Nobody did more than designated hitter Reynaldo García. He was terrific. García got the win, improving to 4-10. He allowed 4 hits and walked 2 over 8 innings. García allowed 2 runs. Deshawn Ellis sewed up the save, his 22nd.

San Francisco used the clutch hitting of Brandon Larson to snag the win. The pinch hitter drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Giants ahead, 3-2. It was his lone hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a crucial one.

"This was a tough loss," said Chicago manager . "It'll stick in my craw for a while."

San Francisco now owns a record of 49-63.
