Colorado Clinches Wild Card Tuesday, September 25th , 2068 The Colorado Rockies clubhouse was filled with loud music and revelry late into the night, as the team celebrated a National League wild card position. The team, whose record stands at 88-73, battled throughout the year, but ultimately saw the quest for the playoffs come down to the season's final games. "I'd be lying if I said we knew we were going to make it," said first baseman Artie Ames. "We did have confidence, but in the back of your mind you always wonder what's going to happen. There were some good teams pushing us." Now the Rockies don't have to worry, as they are in position to potentially win the 3rd Major League Baseball championship in franchise history. |
