Barrage of Hits Gets Jones NL Award Monday, September 15th , 2064 So far in his young career, Dusty Jones has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the National League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 22-year-old Chicago Cubs third baseman hit at a torrid .381 clip as he collected 8 hits in 21 at-bats, 4 home runs, 6 RBIs and 7 runs scored. To date Jones has chalked up a .244 average with 20 home runs, driven in 60 runs and scored 50 times. |
