The Idaho Spuds beat the Nevada Jacks, 6-5, at Spuds Park. The Spuds got a fine performance from third baseman Scott Roberts, who was 2-3 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Carlos Acosta was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 25 of 25 save opportunities. The last-place Jacks have lost 4 straight games.

In the bottom of the sixth, Idaho second baseman Edgardo Carlos put his team on top. With two out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he hit his 11th double of the year. Nevada pitcher Dale Murphy served it up. Just like that, the Spuds were ahead, 5-4.

"It wasn't our best performance," said Roberts, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
