Alabama got an elite performance from starting pitcher Raúl Urana in taking a 2-0 decision over the Virginia Grays. Alabama currently is in second place in the Founding Fathers League South at 45-39.
Urana imposed his will on the Grays, scattering 3 hits over 8 innings while striking out 8. The left-hander upped his season record to 9-4.
"Raúl was throwing free and easy," said Alabama manager Jeff Hoffman.
