Jim Hamilton Hurt, Out for Year Tuesday, May 7th , 2086 The Alabama Iron and their fans were rocked today by the news that star closer Jim Hamilton would miss the rest of the season due to injury. Hamilton was hurt in a recent game against the Georgia Generals while throwing a pitch. He was immediately removed from the game and taken for examination. Tests today revealed the injury was a torn flexor tendon in his elbow. His doctors think that Hamilton will miss about 10 months. Hamilton has 3 saves in 14 relief appearances this season with a 0-2 mark and 2.45 ERA. In 14.2 innings he has 18 strikeouts and 1 walk. Other clubs are hitting .192 against him. |
