Olympia Blanks Idaho Falls, 5-0 Wednesday, July 30th , 2098 It wasn't easy but the Olympia Thunder made it look that way. Starter Corey Parsons shut out the Idaho Falls Outlaws despite having what he later called "sub-par" stuff, and the Olympia Thunder cruised to victory, 5-0. Parsons allowed only 4 hits and rang up 1 strikeout but insisted later that he did not deserve primary credit for the win. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I got a lot of help to get through," he said. "I trusted my catcher and the guys behind me bailed me out more than once when I screwed up." So far in 21 appearances this season, Parsons has recorded 5 wins and sustained 11 losses. He has pitched 145.2 innings, yielded 150 hits, fanned 73 and has a 3.95 ERA. View Boxscore View Game Log |
