Pirates Suffer 11-0 Drubbing from Remparts Friday, August 8th , 2098 It wasn't easy but the Quebec City Remparts made it look that way. Starter Jimmy Fletcher shut out the Pittsburgh Pirates despite having what he later called "sub-par" stuff, and the Quebec City Remparts cruised to victory, 11-0. Fletcher allowed only 5 hits and rang up 6 strikeouts but insisted later that he did not deserve primary credit for the win. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I got a lot of help to get through," he said. "I trusted my catcher and the guys behind me bailed me out more than once when I screwed up." Fletcher has nailed down no saves for the year. He has also totaled 124 strikeouts and 43 walks in 150 innings while registering a 4.74 ERA and a 8-7 won-lost record. View Boxscore View Game Log |
