Reyes Rewarded with 2098 SL Outstanding Hitter Award Friday, October 10th , 2098 Edmund Reyes of the Provo Salt Dogs had a fine season this year and today he accepted the Outstanding Hitter Award for 2098.
The 27-year-old center fielder put up a .262 average and a .353 on-base percentage, piling up 130 hits, 29 doubles, 5 triples, 15 home runs, 62 RBIs and 63 runs scored.

Fans of the LaCrosse Rivermen are hoping there are many more awards to come for their talented ace, José Vázquez.
At the age of only 24, the star pitcher has been named the Northern League Outstanding Hitter Award winner for 2098.
"We knew Vázquez was a special player, but I don't think anyone expected him to get this good, this fast," the LaCrosse manager said.
Vázquez's dominant season saw him throw 178.1 innings, with a 1.21 ERA and .193 opponent's batting average. He had a record of 14-2 through 24 starts and compiled a 5.2 WAR along the way.

He started 27 times, threw 183 innings while collecting 157 strikeouts and fashioned a 1.48 ERA. Ortíz allowed only 108 hits, 40 walks and a .173 opponents' batting average.
