Division Series Goes the Distance, Houston Prevails
The joy and relief on the faces of the Houston Astros players was obvious as they celebrated their Division Series win over the New York Yankees.

"In a series like this, the smallest thing can make the difference in how it turns out," said Houston second baseman Whit Merrifield, shortly after the 6-1 win that clinched the series 3-2. "We're happy we did what it takes to get it done."

The team is now off to the League Championship Series.

Merrifield won series MVP honors on the strength of his .471 batting average during the series. He also had a .500 on-base percentage and 3 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 5 runs.

The League Championship Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Division Series finishes.
