5-Hit Barrage by Valencia
|
Getting 5 hits in a game has always been memorable feat in baseball. In the Tennessee's 4-3 win over Chattanooga today, second baseman Dave Valencia was red-hot, scorching them for hit after hit at Smokies Stadium.
"To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax," Valencia said afterward. "I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I have to admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for five. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close."
Dave Valencia singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
So far this season Valencia has hit .265 with 3 home runs, 31 RBIs and scored 42 times.
