Astros Mow Down Rockies, 9-2
|
The home crowd had a good time watching the Colorado Rockies and Houston Astros get after it.
Led by Alex Bregman, the Houston Astros defeated the Colorado Rockies, 9-2. Bregman was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Astros. The win belongs to Chris LeBrun in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Gabe Contreras took the loss for Colorado.
Early in the game, Bregman had a 3-run home run for Houston. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Astros on top, 5-2.
"We're in a marathon, not a sprint," said Bregman. "But I like how we're playing right now."
The win puts Houston at 9-6.
