Super Swinger -- Alfaro Slams 5 Hits Sunday, January 20th , 2030 After a 5-hit effort to lead Paramaribo's 9-0 victory over the Brasilia Wild Riders, shortstop Jesus Alfaro told BNN beat writers it had been "a special day." "It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college, two hits in a game is nice," he said. "Three or four is better, but five or more is out of sight. And to do that at the South Western Hemisphere Winter League-level is really something special." The 21-year-old player earned his accolades today at Wild Riders Ballpark with a spectacular 5-for-6 game against the Wild Riders. "His swing is getting there," said Conquistadores skipper , who spoke glowingly of Alfaro after the game. "We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Jesus did that to perfection today." Jesus Alfaro singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, doubled in the 7th and flied out in the 9th.
