The Thunder center fielder has now delivered hits in 20 straight games. "Steve has a nice streak going, but the scoreboard tells the important story today," Guatemala manager told reporters after the game. "We lost, no matter how many hits anyone had." Steve Wendt walked in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, struck out in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th. For the year Wendt has hit at a .310 clip with 49 RBIs, 15 home runs and 35 runs scored. |
