Independence Heading to SWHWL Division Series Wednesday, January 23rd , 2030 The Port Au Prince Independence appear poised to make a serious run at the SWHWL Championship after a convincing sweep over the Caracas Star Sox in the SWHWL Wildcard. It's now on to the SWHWL Division Series for Port Au Prince, who won the final game 9-8 and took the series 2-0. "Everyone's doing their part and things are falling into place," said Port Au Prince left fielder Tom Williams, who was named series MVP. "It feels like a special year." For the series, Williams hit .667 with a .700 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 6 RBI and scored 3 runs. The Port Au Prince Independence will play against the San Jose Spinners in the next round. San Jose had a bye in the SWHWL Wildcard.
