The 22-year-old second baseman put up a .393 average and a .510 on-base percentage, piling up 46 hits, 6 doubles, 2 triples, 16 home runs, 36 RBIs and 36 runs scored.

He received 28 first place votes out of a possible 32. Eric Lewis of the San Jose Spinners finished second in voting with 4 first place votes, while Jeff Winslett of the Santo Domingo Blackbirds finished third.
