Thunder Dogs Chill Fritz's Hot Streak Tuesday, December 11th , 2029 Cayenne first baseman Wilberth Fritz came into today's game against the Bogota Thunder Dogs on a hot streak. He left on a cold one. The Thunder Dogs did their jobs well, beating the Cayenne Revolution 6-0 and holding Fritz hitless to snap his 25-game hitting streak. The 22-year-old first baseman had a few words to say after finishing 0-for-4, telling reporters only that he "came up short." "What Wilberth did was exciting and quite an achievement," said Revolution manager . "It's tough enough to get one hit in this league, much less go 25 games in a row. I'm even more proud of the way he handled the press coverage. He never let the frenzy get to him or affect his play." Currently Fritz has 6 home runs and a .442 batting average. |
