Crushers End Chambers's Streak
Saturday, August 2nd , 2025
Ross Chambers, second baseman for the Buffalo Counts, gave it a good try, but his time chasing history came to an end when he went hitless in 5 tries against the Lake Erie Crushers today. Not only did the Crushers break his 26-game hitting streak, they also beat Buffalo by the score of 6-4.
"Now that the streak has ended, I can admit I'll breathe a bit easier the next time I step up to bat," Chambers said, speaking with the media after the game. "It was tough because I put a little pressure on myself. Now that it's over, I will definitely be a little bit looser at the plate."
So far this year Chambers is batting .317 with 6 home runs, 22 RBIs and 44 runs scored.
