Julio Pablo Martinez got just what he wanted after deciding to enter the free-agent market: a strong offensive performance in 2025, highlighted by his selection as the Frontier League Most Valuable Player Award.

The 29-year-old center fielder for Southern Illinois churned out a .291 batting average while amassing 99 hits, 22 doubles, 2 triples, 21 home runs, 58 runs and 55 RBIs.

His performance virtually guarantees him a lucrative payday from whichever team he signs with during the offseason.
