Philadelphia Trades Nola to Kansas City for Lacy Monday, July 31st , 2023 Reports have surfaced that Philadelphia has agreed to send 30-year old RHP Aaron Nola to the Kansas City Royals in exchange for 24-year old LHP Asa Lacy, 19-year old minor league RHP Ricky Robayo, 18-year old minor league RHP R.J. Padgett, 19-year old minor league SS Daniel Vasquez, and 20-year old minor league CF Erick Pena. "It's a done deal," said one executive speaking on the condition of anonymity. "I'm surprised word got around so quickly. We just signed off on this an hour ago." The deal apparently is awaiting physicals before an official announcement is made by either team. This season Nola has fanned 119 in 122.1 innings and collected a 11-5 record with a 3.09 ERA. Lacy has made 22 starts, tossed 101.2 innings, struck out 129 batters and walked 44. His record is 5-9 with a 5.40 ERA and he has limited other teams to a .271 batting average. |
