Sponder Boosts Hit Streak to 20 Games Tuesday, August 6th , 2030 The hot bat of Patriots right fielder Zach Sponder continues to churn out hit after hit, game after game. His consecutive-game hitting streak now numbers 20 games after he went 1-for-3 in today's 1-0 loss to the Saints at CHS Field. "I'm trying not to think about it much," he said later. "I don't want to mess with whatever zone I'm in." Zach Sponder flied out in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, walked in the 6th and singled in the 8th. This year Sponder has hit at a .276 clip with 38 RBIs, 9 home runs and 38 runs scored. |
