Wells Pitches Schenectady to Shutout Victory Friday, August 9th , 2030 It wasn't easy but Mike Wells made it look that way. Wells silenced the Bowling Green Hot Rods, 6-0, in a Schenectady Farmhands triumph at Bowling Green Ballpark today. Despite the appearance of dominance, Wells said later that he felt like he was struggling all game. He gave up 6 walks and 2 hits. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I made the decision to bear down and work through it," he said. "I made a few mistakes but it goes to show what you can do with grit and not much else." Checking out his stats for the season, Wells has registered 12 wins and 8 losses in 21 starts, posted a 3.20 ERA, and struck out 97 batters in 146.1 innings. View Boxscore |
