Round 1 Goes the Distance, Jersey Shore Prevails Monday, September 30th , 2030 In a series that had a little bit of everything, the Jersey Shore Blue Claws have edged the Schenectady Farmhands. The two rival clubs went the distance in the tightly-contested Round 1, with a 3-1 win in the clincher being the difference for Jersey Shore and giving them the ticket to the Round 2 with a 4-3 series triumph. "We never stopped believing in ourselves. When push came to shove we were going to get it done," said Dave Gray, who was named series MVP. For the series, Gray hit .385 with a .485 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 4 runs. The Jersey Shore Blue Claws will play against the Greenville Drive in the next round. Greenville won their series against the Greensboro Grasshoppers 4 games to 2.
