McCormick Hits for the Cycle Thursday, May 23rd , 2030 Getting 4 hits is a good day by any measure, but when those include a single, double, triple and a home run -- that's something special. Bob McCormick's day was a special one. The shortstop hit for the cycle to spark the Fresno Grizzlies to a 25-0 victory over the Lake Elsinore Storm at Chukchansi Park today. Fresno manager said he thought the whole lineup looked good in batting practice, but had not been expecting anything extraordinary from McCormick in particular. "Bob caught me by surprise today," the skipper said. "He looked good before the game, but man, he looked unbelievable during it." For the day, McCormick finished with 4 RBI and 4 runs scored to go with his 4 hits. Bob McCormick hit a two-run home run off Hector Sanabria in the 1st, hit an RBI triple in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, walked in a run in the 6th, struck out in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
