Trammell Extends Hit Streak to 20 Games Monday, August 19th , 2030 Jim Trammell's hitting streak is becoming the talk of San Jose. The 22-year-old second baseman extended it once again today, this time bringing it to 20 games with a 2-for-5 performance against the Modesto Nuts. The Giants took the game, 2-1. "People are starting to bring it up to me when I'm around town," he said. "It's getting stressful." Jim Trammell flied out in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th and doubled in the 9th. This year Trammell has 6 home runs and a .376 batting average. |
