Phillies Win Round 1 Monday, September 30th , 2030 The Philadelphia (GCL) Phillies triumphed 5-2 over the Pittsburgh (GCL) Pirates at Pirate City Complex in the Round 1 to capture it 4-1. The victory advanced the Phillies to the Round 2. For his superb play in the series, Phillies center fielder Kevin Grau garnered the series MVP trophy, hitting .333, scoring 6 runs and batting in 7. "Only thing better than getting MVP for winning in the playoffs would be winning MVP for winning in the Round 3," Grau said later. "I'll get to work on that." The Philadelphia (GCL) Phillies will play against the Chicago N (AZL) Cubs in the next round. Chicago N (AZL) won their series against the Washington (GCL) Nationals 4 games to 1.
