BayBears Need Extra Frames to Get Past Drillers
The Mobile BayBears and Tulsa Drillers put on quite a show.

The Mobile BayBears beat the Tulsa Drillers, 6-4, in 11 innings. Mobile third baseman Kyle John, in particular, had a fine performance. He was 2 for 5 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. The winner in relief was Ricky Lopez. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. He now owns a record of 2-1.

Mobile used a clutch hit from Daniel Contreras to get the win. The pinch hitter drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the BayBears ahead, 6-4. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"We didn't go down without a fight," said Tulsa manager Jack Carey.

The win puts the BayBears at 62-71, while the Drillers drop to 74-59.
