The Boise Hawks got a superb performance from pitcher Eric Rice, but the Spokane Indians still won the game, 4-3. Rice threw 7.0 innings of 5-hit ball. Jonathan McMillan earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 3 innings. He upped his record to 3-2. At 46-37, the Indians find themselves in first place in the Northwest Conference East.

Spokane used a clutch hit from Mike Torma to get the win. The pinch hitter drilled a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Indians ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Torma. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
