Hawks Suffer 5-2 Setback
|
Winnipeg picked up a win at Memorial Stadium, bumping off the Boise Hawks, 5-2. Pitcher Alejandro Alamillo was a major reason the Thunder emerged victorious. Tyshawn Jenkins finished to wrap up his 4th save. The Thunder raised their record to 58-54.
Nick Hurst, the 23-year old second baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Hurst contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the seventh inning to put Winnipeg up, 3-2.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Winnipeg manager Dan Fraticelli.
