Crosscutters Jolt Doubledays, 3-1, with Late Rally
The Auburn Doubledays could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Billy Zaino into a win. Instead, the Williamsport Crosscutters prevailed, 3-1. Zaino threw 6.0 innings of 2-hit ball. Williamsport reliever Montrell Fasoli picked up the win, raising his record to 1-1. Jeff Wolters was tagged with the loss. Picking up the save was Dan Morrow. He's now 24 for 27 in save chances.

Vitale Cesaresco, who is tied for 10th in the NYP in RBI with 50, helped out the Williamsport cause in the top of the sixth inning with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch. For the game, the right fielder drove in one run.

Cesaresco attributed the win to his team's "determination."

With the win, the Crosscutters have a record of 56-52.
