Rieck slugs 2 home runs to Power Scrappers Offense
The Mahoning Valley Scrappers topped the Vermont Lake Monsters by a score of 10-4. Leading the way was left fielder Steve Rieck. Rieck was 3-3 with 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 3 for the Scrappers. The win elevated the Scrappers to 57-56.

Jaiden Stroud, the 22-year old shortstop , had a direct impact on the outcome. Stroud contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the seventh inning to put Mahoning Valley up, 3-1.

"We played hard and won," said Rieck. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
