Bullets Edge Manatees, 2-1
|
San Francisco Bullets starter Bob Myers turned in a sterling performance against the Miami Manatees, leading his team to a slim 2-1 win. San Francisco reliever Curt Collins picked up the win, upping his record to 6-3. Conan Deveau was saddled with the loss. The victory gives the Bullets a record of 73-59.
San Francisco needed the clutch hitting of Manny Corulla to notch the win. The first baseman hammered a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Bullets on top, 2-1. For the game, Corulla had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"Our goal is to improve each and every day," Corulla told the San Francisco Herald.
