San Francisco Bats Go Silent in 2-0 Loss
|
Right-hander Cristián Espinoza mesmerized the San Francisco Bullets while leading the Miami Manatees to a 2-0 victory. Dave Lory earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. He upped his record to 3-4. Conan Deveau got credit for the save for Miami. It was his 14th of the year.
Miami used the clutch hitting of Andy Finley to capture the win. The designated hitter drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Manatees ahead, 2-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"There was no wiggle room in this one," said Espinoza.
The victory puts Miami at 24-35.
