A newcomer to the league, Gutiérrez made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .500 average, 9 hits in 18 at-bats, 3 home runs and 7 RBI. Where the Toronto Maple Leafs first baseman goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Gutiérrez certainly made his mark last week. |
