Providence's Escobedo RiPL's Best Monday, May 1st , 2051 Sergio Escobedo is respected by most Providence Grays fans for his no-frills style of play. The 30-year-old third baseman went about his business with vigor last week to grab the Rob in Phoenix League Player of the Week honors. He compiled a .429 average (12-for-28) with 1 home run, 6 RBIs and 6 runs scored. Thus far this year Escobedo is hitting .358 with 2 home runs, 14 RBIs and 19 runs scored. |
