Mullins Smacks 3 Out of the Park Thursday, June 15th , 2051 The "hardest feat in sports" debate is a never-ending one with no correct answer, but hitting three home runs is certainly in the conversation. That's exactly what Dewitt Mullins did today at Ballpark of Norco, going deep three times and carrying his team to victory, 9-3. "It all came together. I was seeing the ball well and I got some good pitches to hit," Mullins said. "Good things happen, when that happens." The Rio Grande Valley Javelinas left fielder blistered the Norco Mustangs for 4 hits, batted in 3 runs and scored 4 times. "It ain't like we weren't trying," Norco manager said. "He was hot and really torched my boys today." Dewitt Mullins hit a solo-shot off Jorge Lugo in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Jorge Lugo in the 5th, singled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Phil Stokes in the 8th. To date, Mullins has collected 8 hits for a .276 average. He has posted 3 home runs, scored 7 runs and driven in 6 runs. |
