5 Hits for Suns Walters Saturday, August 9th , 2053 It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Bob Walters -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at St. Petersburg Stadium and paced the 16-5 Suns win over the Jefferson City Capitols. After his dynamite batting performance, the St. Petersburg second baseman told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 6 tries and put his name in the record book. Bob Walters singled in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Chris Fain in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and flied out in the 7th.
