Rodgers 6-for-6 Against Fredrick Saturday, August 20th , 2050 It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 6-for-6 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Alec Rodgers, it came around today. The 19-year-old second baseman scattered hits all over Bears Ballpark to pace the Edina Mites to a 9-2 victory over the Fredrick L'il Hawks. Fredrick skipper told reporters in the press room that "Rodgers deserves a hat-tip." "He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Rodgers hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit." Alec Rodgers singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Razan Kobayashi in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Razan Kobayashi in the 5th, singled in the 7th and doubled in the 9th.
