Solís Strokes 3 HR Against Fredrick Friday, August 26th , 2050 Fans are still buzzing after Atlantic City whipped the Fredrick L'il Hawks by the score of 8-3 today at Bears Ballpark. Manny Solís smashed three home runs in the contest, a feat that would be a career highlight for most players and few fans ever see. In a tremendous performance, the first baseman bashed out 4 hits in 5 at-bats, had 4 RBIs and scored 4 times. At the postgame press conference, Solís said it was an "unbelievable" feeling to hit three home runs in a game. "Getting one homer is special, and two is great," Solís said. "Three is just... wow." Manny Solís flied out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Grégory Lefort in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off José Guerrero in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Ethan Peterson in the 9th. Thus far this season in 49 games Solís is batting .251 with 10 home runs, 37 RBIs and 36 runs scored. He has 44 hits in 175 at-bats. |
