With 3-0 Win, Expos Improve to 23-13
|
Montreal Expos starter Jack Anderson worked his magic, as he helped his team defeat the Boston Red Sox, 3-0. In 6 innings, Anderson surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 2. He allowed no runs. Larry LeGrange sewed up the save, his 11th.
The Expos got a big hit from shortstop Armando Torres. In the bottom of the sixth, Torres pounded a 2-run double to left. His 5th double of the season put the Expos ahead, 3-0.
"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Anderson.
The win puts Montreal at 23-13 this season.
