Rangers Improve to 25-15 with 2-1 Win
The Texas Rangers eked out a 2-1 win versus the Milwaukee Brewers at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington. Nobody did more than pitcher Francisco Martínez. He was terrific. Texas leads the American League Southern Division by 3½ games.

Cary Mench, who is tied for 4th in the AL in runs scored with 29, aided the Texas cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the third. For the game, the right fielder was 3-4 with 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI.

"I like our moxie," said Rangers manager Danny Sheehan.
