Jackson Stars for Orioles in 9-3 Win
|
A nice crowd turned out to see the Baltimore Orioles and Toronto Blue Jays clash at Rogers Centre.
Baltimore third baseman Jim Jackson was a significant contributor in his team's 9-3 triumph over the Toronto Blue Jays. He was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 4 for Baltimore. The Orioles bumped their record to 83-71 with this latest triumph.
It could have been a different outcome for Baltimore, had it not been for Vincente Barrón, the 29-year old first baseman . Barrón contributed a grand slam home run in the top of the eighth inning to put Baltimore up, 9-2.
"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said Baltimore manager John Williams.
