Minnesota Hot Streak Continues with 7-5 Win
The Minnesota Twins extended their winning streak.

The Minnesota Twins picked up a win at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington, knocking off the Texas Rangers, 7-5. Starting pitcher Jake Meacha played a key role in the triumph. Vincent Jenkins, now 3-1, picked up the win in relief. He allowed 2 runs on 3 hits in 1.1 innings. Víctor Ortega collected his 14th save.

Minnesota used the timely hitting of Pepe Medrano to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Twins on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Jake was able to execute his pitches," said Minnesota manager Brian Odeja. "Simple as that."
