The San Francisco Giants clobbered the New York Mets, 20-3, at Presidio Park. San Francisco shortstop Juan Guzmán led the onslaught. He went 3-3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks, while scoring 3 times and driving in 5. San Francisco reliever Francisco Mendoza picked up the win to move to 4-2. Paco Castillo suffered the loss. San Francisco now has a record of 25-22 with the win.
